First of two Blackhawks games this week is tonight. Blackhawks vs Blue Jackets at the UC with my family. First game back at the UC for me even though I went to 2 Bruins games this semester while at school. Second game is Saturday. Blackhawks vs Red Wings in Detroit with my best friend from high school for her 20th birthday! She goes to University of Michigan so I’m heading up Friday for her birthday weekend, and her dad got tickets for the game for her birthday. :)  Ciao!

reasons why today rocks:

  • woke up to a sweet message
  • had breakfast with the girl i used to babysit for and her mom
  • took a quick nap
  • hour long skype sesh with someone i missed talking to a lot
  • 4 days until Hawks game with my family
  • 7 days until I go to UMich to visit my best friend from high school
  • 8 days until Hawks/Red Wings game in Detroit!

The upside to staying home for new years eve is the hockey: USA vs Canada in World Juniors and some thing on Notre Dame. Pretty cool seeing some kids I know living their dreams out.

Gettin work done yo

I finished all my paper work for my school in Italy and mailed it out, finished and copied all of my paper work for my visa appointment tomorrow, cleaned my desk, started spending my Christmas gift cards, organized part of my life, and took my snowboard in to get serviced. Can’t wait to get out next week possibly! :)

Now time to settle in to watch the USA Junior National game (can’t believe two of the boy my brother used to play with are playing!) and the Blackhawks game. Hockey nights are good nights.

Today is a hockey day :)

My birthday present from my parents came in (a Patrick Kane jersey yayayyyy!) and I bought me and Sam’s Bruins tickets! Bruins game 12/8, Hawks game 1/10. So excited!

Last night I skyped home to my parents about my study abroad stuff. It also happened to be opening night of the Blackhawks. So they put the laptop on a stool in front of the TV, and we watched the first period of the game together. It’s the little things like watching hockey with my parents that I miss the most from home. <3
