somethings kinda never change...
I didn’t much feel like going home tonight after going the Blackhawks game with my best friend. So I drove around, taking the roads I used to drive on the daily to places or when I would just drive around. I could drive them on autopilot basically too. It reminded me so much of old times when I used to do this because I didn’t want to just sit at home on a Friday or Saturday night. So...

dazed and confused...
My life has been just a little short of crazy lately. People have been talking shit about me, calling me names that are far from the truth, judging me based on a few stories not who I am. Friends have been coming and going. Relationships with friends have been changing from close to nonexistent and the vise versa. Then throw in classes and all of it has my head spinning, leaving me confused and my...

last day.
Today is my last day in Boston for a month. It’s crazy to think that three months have passed so fast. The goodbyes started a few days ago when one of us left for good. Then yesterday I said more byes to friends, today even more, until tomorrow morning when I’ll say the last few and be on my way back to Chicago.
As much as I’m ready to go home, I don’t want to go home...

Reasons Why Today Is Great (in no order)

3. Paramore is playing on iTunes
4. It’s fucking Friday.

Live the Life You Love.
The air smelt crisp and cool. It bit into my neck and face as I walked to starbucks and reminded me that it’s mid-December even with the lack of snow. Christmas is lurking around the corner and the new year is right behind it. Where has time gone?
I’m coming up on a year at the end of the month. I honestly thought I’d never see a year, especially after this summer. But here I am, a few weeks...

Day Ten: One Confession
1. I really don’t want to go home for winter break. I mean I want to go home for the holidays; I’m extremely homesick for the holiday traditions that I’m missing at home. My dorm just doesn’t feel like the holidays. There is no tree with lights, no stockings, no music, and it hasn’t even snowed in Boston yet. I’m looking forward to seeing my family again and...

Day Eight: Three Turn Ons.
1. A great smile; not to sound superficial, but a guy with a great smile just gets me every time.
2. The ability to actually hold a conversation; it doesn’t have to be a deep long talk, just a talk about anything and everything.
3. Making me smile and laugh, I mean really smile and laugh; I know it when I feel it, and when a guy can me throw my head back and laugh or do my stupid squinty...
Day Seven: Four Turn Offs.
1. Ignorance; I don’t want a Harvard grad, but please don’t be ignorant.
2. Bad hygiene; really, if I can find to shower as busy as I am now you can find time to shower too.
3. Clinginess; don’t be all up in my grill all the time.
4. No direction; you don’t have to know exactly where you are going, but don’t be stagnate.

Day Six: Five People Who Mean A Lot (In No Order)
1. My little brother; because I love him lots.
2. Marcella; because she’s my best friend who I can always turn to.
3. My Doble Crew; because they are always there.
4. My parents; do I need explanation for that?
5. My Jamba family; because I wouldn’t have survived senior year or the summer after without you guys. <3

Chicago...
I miss Chicago so badly. I miss taking the BNSF to Union, getting off, walking down Jefferson to Michigan, hanging out around Millennium, walking around the Bean, watching the ice skaters, walking up to North Michigan, shopping at Water Tower, looking at the lights on the Mag Mile. I miss walking the streets with my Starbucks cup and friends. I can’t wait to get back and be there with my...

Day One: Ten things you want to say to ten...
1. I love you so much. I miss you every day while I’m away at school. I miss driving you to school or golf practice and going to lunch with you. I’m so happy we still talk while I’m away because I love hearing about whats going on at home from someone other than Mom and Dad. You are one of the few reasons I look forward to coming home. You are so much smarter than you know and...

“No matter how you put it, you’re gonna fall, and it’s scary as hell. Except, if theres an upside to free falling, it’s the chance you give your friends to catch you.” - Grey’s Anatomy
Letting myself open up and let people in has always been the hardest thing for me. I struggled in high school with it, but here in college I’m finding this quote to be totally true. I’ve let myself fall for these...
